February is going quickly
February 6, 2008
It’s already 2/6/08! Somehow these past few months have really swept by without my even noticing. Reading lots of interesting things about land preservation and writing creatively for the first time in a long time. It’s tiring and invigorating…and all together a bit stressful. This makes my knitting time very infrequent. Especially since we are currently building my new touring bike, for the world-wide bicycle tour (aka “the BIG trip”).
This blog has changed names and URLs, for anyone who noticed. I started the last one (redtugboat.net) before I had a clear sense of what it would turn out to be. Since it slowly morphed into a place where I’m talking about my knitting (or lack thereof, as sometimes is the case) and bicycle adventures, it felt appropriate that the name/URL reflect that focus.
I’ve also seemingly given up on my 101 in 1001 days list. It’s just so long of a time that I easily forget to follow up. I’m going to create a list of what I want to accomplish in 2008…perhaps 100 items, perhaps more or less. That timeline is much more reasonable for me to handle.
I’ve also decided to join Lolly’s Project Spectrum this round. The element for February/March is FIRE. I have some lovely sock yarn from the Yarn Nerd and am hemming and hawing over the right pattern to showcase the color, as well as the fire element.
Oh, and is the 70 degree humid weather in Philadelphia bother anyone else? It’s just down right creepy!
